This page explains which personal data we process to carry and track your shipments, why, and what your rights are.
Data controller
[To be completed: company name and address], reachable at contact@jplogisticsltd.com.
Data processed
- Shipment data: sender's name and phone number; recipient's name, phone number, delivery address and, where applicable, email; description, weight and dimensions of the parcel; tracking steps.
- Client accounts: name, email, phone number, preferred language and password (stored only in hashed form, never in plain text).
- Proof of delivery: photos or signatures taken when the parcel is handed over.
- Contact form messages: name, company, email, phone number, tracking number and message, sent by email to our teams so they can answer you; nothing is stored on the website. An anti-robot check is computed by your browser, with no third-party service or cookie.
- Emails sent: notification history (recipient, subject, date, sending status).
- Technical data: IP address, used temporarily to limit abusive login and search attempts.
Purposes and legal bases
- Carrying out the transport and informing the recipient of its progress (performance of the contract of carriage).
- Providing access to the client area (performance of the contract).
- Complying with our customs and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
- Protecting the service against abuse (legitimate interest).
What the public tracking page shows
The tracking page accessible with a number shows no phone number, address, email or internal note from our teams. The names of the sender and recipient are shortened (first name and initial of the last name).
Cookies
The website uses no advertising or audience measurement cookies. Only strictly necessary cookies are set: the session cookie, which expires at the latest 12 hours after login, technical security cookies for the login form, and a cookie that remembers the chosen language for one year. They do not require consent.
Third-party services
The maps on the tracking pages are drawn by our own website: no third-party mapping service is contacted, so your IP address is not sent to one. Emails are sent via [To be completed: email delivery provider].
Recipients
The data is accessible to our teams and, as far as necessary for carriage, to our transport partners and to the customs authorities of the countries crossed. For international shipments, data is transferred outside the European Union to the extent necessary for transport.
Retention periods
[To be completed: retention periods for shipments, inactive accounts, proof of delivery and email history]
